Empower Yoga is a casualty of both a change in its leased location and the financial hit it took during the coronavirus shutdown.
The yoga studio will not reopen at 103 W. College Ave. in downtown Appleton in the Zuelke Building.
“We had some very unfortunate timing for our lease in the Zuelke building with new ownership,” Empower Yoga owners Matt and Suzy Weyenberg wrote in an email to students. “We had plans prior to pandemic to relocate the studio, but we will no longer be financially able to.”
The Weyenbergs said outstanding classes from 10- or 20-class packages will be honored until mid-September at Lisa Kramer’s yoga classes that Sunny Side Up Yoga held outdoors in Riverside Park in Appleton.
“We are unable to provide refunds but will happily offer you full credit towards Empower at Home single classes or monthly at-home unlimited passes,” they said.
Empower Yoga continues to live stream classes online.
