One photo shows her speaking with a fellow protestor and later hugging her in a second snap. And a video shows her hugging the same protestor from another angle and telling her: “I have antibodies, don’t worry about that,” in reference to the coronavirus.

Meanwhile, a third image shows a man taking a selfie while Madonna can be seen marching amongst the crowds and looking as if she is about to say something to the camera.

Fans quickly replied to the tweets of the snaps praising Madge’s act of solidarity to the Black Lives Matter movement.

One wrote: “Bada**! On crutches!!! Black Lives Matter”.

Another added: “That’s Madonna a true Freedom Fighter who stands by her convictions. Great to see the children taking part. BLACK LIVES MATTER Black heart WE ARE ALL EQUAL.”

While a third chimed in with: “An absolute legend,” followed by a red heart emoji and a heart eye emoji.

It comes after Madonna received backlash for sharing a video of her adopted son David dancing to “stamp out racism” in reaction to the death of George Floyd.

The singer took to Twitter to share the video of 14 year old David as the world reels after the senseless death of black American George Floyd, who was killed by a white policeman in Minneapolis.

Pop singer Madonna claimed that the video of David dancing to the Michael Jackson song They Don’t Really Care About Us was a “tribute” to 46 year old George.

In the video, posted to Madonna’s 2.6million Twitter followers, David is seen showing off his best impression of Michael’s dancing in the family’s spacious kitchen.

Madonna captioned the video: “Brutal murder travels around the world my son David Dances to honor and pay tribute to George and His Family and all Acts of Racism and Discrimination that happen on a daily basis in America.”

However, many of the Express Yourself hit maker’s fans were quick to criticise her on the video.

One of her followers wrote: “Maybe the worst tweet of all time. ‘come dance in the kitchen for racism’ is a weird take.”

A second added: “This is trash, and deeply disrespectful. If you want to actually do something to help combat racism and oppression, donate to the Minnesota Freedom Fund to help pay the bail of protestors in Minneapolis.”

A third commented: “There are many things you need to do and this wasn’t one of them.”
