‘Frasier’ reunion

The cast of “Frasier” reunited on Skype Wednesday, doing a video chat from their homes on “Stars In The House” with Seth Rudetsky and James Wesley. Sitcom stars Kelsey Grammer, Jane Leeves, Peri Gilpin and David Hyde Pierce discussed the “Cheers” spinoff, which ran for 11 seasons from 1993 to 2004, and talked about how Lisa Kudrow was originally cast as Dr. Frasier Crane’s producer before she joined “Friends.” Other cast members joining the hour-long chat included Bebe Neuwirth, Dan Butler, Tom McGowan and Harriet Sansom Harris; John Mahoney, who played Frasier’s father Martin, died in 2018. “There was a moment when I fell in love with each of you, really fell in love,” Grammer said. The Daily Mail reports “Stars in the House” is an online series raising money for The Actors Fund during the coronavirus pandemic.

Ali Wentworth has coronavirus

Actress and comedian Ali Wentworth announced that she has tested positive for COVID-19 on Wednesday. “I have tested positive for the Corona Virus,” she wrote on Instagram. “I’ve never been sicker. High fever. Horrific body aches. Heavy chest. I’m quarantined from my family. This is pure misery. #stayhome.” Wentworth, 55, is known for roles on “Seinfeld,” “In Living Color,” “Jerry Maguire” and “It’s Complicated.” Her husband, ABC News anchor George Stephanopolous, said on “Good Morning America” that he would be working from home after she began developing symptoms. The pair has two daughters.

Stephen Colbert auditioned for Screech

Time out: Did you know that Stephen Colbert once auditioned to play Screech on “Saved by the Bell?” The “Late Show” host revealed the interesting tidbit during a video interview with Ryan Reynolds on Wednesday. The “Deadpool” actor said he wore a piano tie for his first audition, which reminded Colbert of how his first audition was for Zack Morris’ best friend, but was told he was too “over the top” for the role that eventually went to Dustin Diamond.
