‘Bachelor’ star Colton Underwood tests positive for coronavirus – Page Six

Colton Underwood is trying to stay upbeat after testing positive for the coronavirus.

In a video posted to Instagram on Friday captioned, “We got this,” the former “Bachelor” star revealed his diagnosis.

“I tested positive and I have been following all of the social distancing rules since last week,” Underwood, 28, wrote. “My symptoms started a few days ago, I was tested and just received my results today.”

The reality star encouraged young adults who are “hesitant to self quarantine” to “please do yourself and your loved ones a favor and stay home.”

Underwood’s girlfriend, Cassie Randolph — whom he met on “The Bachelor,” shared on her Instagram Stories that she and her family have been practicing social distancing, and are monitoring their symptoms after Underwood’s diagnosis.

In his video, Underwood also tried to dispel any misconceptions about the disease, such as the belief that it only affects the elderly or people with underlying health conditions.

“I’m 28, I consider myself pretty healthy, I work out regularly, I eat healthy, and I became symptomatic a few days ago,” the “Bachelor” alum said. “It’s been kicking my ass — just to put it very bluntly.”

Underwood shared that some of the difficulties he has experienced as a result of the coronavirus are going up a flight of stairs or going to the bathroom without having to sit down because he is “exhausted.”

“The reason I am sharing this is not to cause fear or panic, but to hopefully encourage you guys to stay home,” he reiterated.

Underwood maintained optimism, adding in his caption, “We will all beat this and come out stronger on the other side. I’ll keep you posted, Love y’all.”

Members of “Bachelor” Nation sent their well-wishes, like Jason Tartick, who wrote, “Thinking about you man, get well brotha!”

Luke Parker, who was on Hannah Brown’s season of “The Bachelorette,” added, “Dang man, you’re tough bro keep fighting 🥊 I’ll be praying for you brother!”

Underwood joined a growing list of celebrities who have tested positive including Idris Elba, Tom Hanks, Rita Wilson and Andy Cohen.
