Tom Hanks: Fans mortified at actor’s latest CONVID-19 update ‘Nothing could survive that’ – Express

Tom Hanks, 63, is constantly giving his fans what they need – positive reassurance that he and his wife are doing fine. The actor and partner Rita Wilson, 63, tested positive for coronavirus last week and are now under strict quarantine for the foreseeable future.

He has been providing health updates via Instagram since news broke of his diagnosis and in his most recent post, he sent a warm thanks to “the helpers” that are providing aid to the famous twosome.

The international treasure urged the world to “take care” as the pandemic continues to spread globally.

“Thanks to the helpers,” he wrote.

”Let’s take care of ourselves and each other. Hanx.”

Accompanying the post, he shared a picture of his breakfast, that consisted of a piece of toast with Australian spread Vegemite.

With it also featured the country’s native animals, a toy kangaroo and koala.

But as the highly-anticipated update led to a flood of comments from fans around the world thanking him for keeping them updated and wanting to know if they’re getting better, there was an abundance of others who were worried about the mass of Vegemite on his toast.

One worried user was quick to warn the film star: “Don’t eat that…. way too much Vegemite!”

“Oh thank God that the internet, Australia, Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson all still have a sense of humour,” someone else laughed.

“The fact that I read an article about how Australians are roasting him about his Vegemite usage is frankly, PRICELESS.”

We can probably predict that those worried fans will get a response from the actor with today’s brekkie option.

Tom and Rita sure are keeping their spirits up, and in a post over the weekend reached out to fans for help.

While in isolation Down Under, they asked for song suggestions for a Spotify playlist they made for those who are also in quarantine.

While the pair are recovering from the deadly virus, the American actress wrote to her 448,000 followers on Twitter: “Hi guys! I want to make a @Spotify playlist for people self quarantining.

“Something that might relate to isolation, perhaps?”, the singer continued.

Rita then asked her fans to send her some song ideas and give her name suggestions for the playlist.

She added: “Can you send some song ideas that I can add? Also, what should we call it? Quarantine Choruses?”

Fans flooded the comments section to share their personal favourites, suggesting they should add Bruno Mars’ The Lazy Song, while another commented: “Isolation by John Lennon”.
