She’s expecting her first child with the CEO of SpaceX, Elon Musk and singer Grimes has said she’s adopting a much healthier lifestyle.

Speaking on War Nymph Radio on Apple Music, the 31-year-old, who is seven months pregnant, said she is feeling NO benefits from working out, sleeping and becoming sober.

She said: ‘I’m healthy right now cause I’m pregnant, here’s what I’ve learned: sleeping properly, being sober and eating loads of vegetables makes no difference in your life and I don’t feel any better, in fact, I feel worse.

‘And fitness, being healthy, I think it’s fake news. This is the healthiest I’ve ever been, [and I’m] on the treadmill, putting spinach in my mouth and I’m like, “bleh”.’

Grimes previously admitted she has been craving cow’s milk and butter – despite being a vegan for 20 years.

She has ditched her strict plant-based diet and given into her cravings, to provide her baby with the best nutritional possible.

Posing with Euphoria’s Alexia Demie, she said: ‘And fitness, being healthy, I think it’s fake news. This is the healthiest I’ve ever been, [and I’m] on the treadmill, putting spinach in my mouth and I’m like, “bleh”’

Grimes – whose real name is Claire Elise Boucher has said she doesn’t want to reveal her baby’s gender in a bid to protect their privacy.

The Canadian indie singer first went public with tech tycoon Musk, 48, since May 2018.

During the radio show, Grimes also discussed her song, Delete Forever and the US Opioid crisis…

She said: ‘I was just real shook, because do you remember, like, Lil’ Peep died, you know, from an Opioid-related death and I’ve had a lot of really good friends, actually, one of my best friends from high school died from an Opioid-related thing when we were 18 or something, and so I was just super, super triggered.

‘I’ve always been not writing a song about that because I felt it exploited it. Because you know you see artists come out and they’re like, “I have four types of depression,” and all this stuff, and everyone’s always saying they have all their life problems.

‘But I was just sorta like, “Uh, I just can’t, like, write about, like, my friend’s death!”…but Lil’ Peep dying just kinda pushed me over the edge.

‘Because I was like, “Man, this is serious, this is a super-mainstream thing at this point. That people just f***ing die from”.’

Grimes also spoke about her love of Peggy Gou, a music producer.

Making a statement: During the radio show, Grimes also discussed her song, Delete Forever and the US Opioid crisis… (pictured as her alter-ego avatar WarNymph)

She said: ‘She is one of my favourite producers, and everyone should listen to her, because I feel like this music is like Scarface music.

‘It’s like weird cocaine, Miami [vibes]. Whenever I have a house party, I just play Peggy Gou and have a weird glass of something and just feel like a crazy person.’

Grimes had Europhia star Alexia Demi on the show and they discussed the ‘sexual power’ of popular girls…

She said: ‘Euphoria really encapsulates this high/low kind of vibe. You know, I think a lot of the core plot of the show revolves around what I would call the pathos of the popular girl, which Alexa’s character, Maddy, is definitely like a popular girl, but we really get into her problems and how her life is fucked up.

‘And I think the popular girl represents something really interesting in the culture because for other women, she has a sense of power, but in the grand scheme of things, you know, it’s sort of like this like halfway power. It’s like sexual power or whatever else.’

In the special show, Grimes played music from both the mainstream and the underground including selections from artists ‘making radical, interesting music’ such as The Weeknd, Doja Cat, Tove Lo, Purity Ring, Lady Gaga, and more.
