- Chris Harrison revealed that after The Bachelor‘s live finale aired, Peter Weber was upset and vented to producers.
- As a refresher, Peter’s mom Barbara went TF off on Madison and said their relationship would ultimately fail.
Welp, The Bachelor has finally wrapped up for the year (thank God), and as expected there was TONS of drama to be had. The live finale special had a bunch of curve balls, namely the super awk moments of Hannah Ann Sluss telling Peter Weber off for rejecting her after proposing, and Peter’s mom Barbara, ripping Madison Prewett to shreds for not being her choice girl for Peter.
After the finale, Peter was a bit of a wreck, according to host Chris Harrison. “He was backstage standing next to Madison, visibly upset, venting to producers, just shaken,” Chris explained to Us Weekly. “His world got kind of shaken on live TV. That’s something I don’t wish on anybody. It was uncomfortable, and he was probably embarrassed—probably angry and rightfully so.”
And as far as Barbara insinuating that Peter’s relationship with Madison will “fail” in order for him to “succeed”? Yeah, Chris had some thoughts about her comments too.
“In life—and I am a parent—you only want what’s best for your kids. But there’s a time when you can be right and be wrong. And was she right? Maybe,” he said. “But did she need to make that statement at that time? Was the timing there in the way she expressed herself, could it have been a little better, a little different? Do you ever need to say to your kid, ‘I told you so?’ I just thought, in that moment, maybe it could’ve been a little better timing.”
On top of Peter’s vent-sesh with the producers, his mother Barbara reportedly ripped into production over Peter and Madison getting back together. So… IDK, I’m just gonna have to cross my fingers and wish these two crazy kids the best!
