Joe Swash has revealed the struggles of Dancing On Ice training, saying he’s been “physically and mentally on the edge”.
The TV star is competing in this weekend’s live final of the competition, where he will be up against Perri Kiely and Libby Clegg to be crowned the winner of the show.
However, Stacey Solomon’s beau has revealed that there’s “been a few tears” during his time on the show just days after being rushed to hospital after suffering an injury during training.
Speaking to Daily Star Sunday, the 38-year-old explained: “Emotionally, this has had me in a right mess. Physically, mentally and emotionally, the past couple of weeks I’ve been right on the edge.
“It doesn’t take a lot to wobble me at the moment. It’s so physical and the hours are so long. You have to learn up to three routines. I feel so tired.
“There have been a few tears. I have a little ten minutes where I have a little breakdown.”
It comes after Joe revealed he was taken to hospital after being kicked in the head with an ice skate by professional partner Alex Murphy.
Skating around the ice rink alongside Alex, 29, he said: “I thought we’d get the elephant out of the room and talk about this stupid, ridiculous bandage on my head.
“Basically what happened was me and Al were doing disco dance…”

“And my skate kicked him in the ear,” Alex said, finishing his sentence.
Joe, who recently revealed why he went bankrupt twice in the past, continued: “And the skate kicked me in the ear, which give me cauliflower ear, which got infected. Which meant last night I had to get rushed to hospital and have an operation on it.”
Alex then said: “Cut it open and drain it out,” before Joe added: “Drain all the gooey stuff.”
He continued: “Best thing is the doctor told me I’ve gotta keep this on my head until Sunday. So all week we’re doing the Bolero, looking like this.”
Joe was most likely expecting sympathy from his loving girlfriend Stacey Solomon when he get home. But instead the doting dad, who shares son Rex with 30 year old Stacey, was met with a fit of laughter from his other half.
Throughout the evening the Loose Women panellist had been documenting her growing concern for Joe as he wasn’t answering his phone.
Speaking in the clip, Stacey said: “I don’t know what’s taking him so long tonight, he’s supposed to be back at nine and his phone’s off! It’s getting scarier by the minute and I’m too scared to put the baby in his cot – I’m sweating!”
