With the cancellation of South by Southwest (SXSW) due to concerns of the worldwide novel coronavirus outbreak, many Austin restaurants, bars, and vendors are left with a lot of food and drinks intended for events, parties, and the expected parties. To make use of the excess product, here are local businesses offering food and drink specials this March.
There’s also a Facebook group where businesses and people are encouraged to sell goods/food/etc. intended for SXSW. Likewise, Austin organizations and businesses are rallying to help support the service industry in the wake of SXSW’s cancellation through fundraisers and bar events.
