The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are reminiscing on the end of their Ireland visit with an adorable Instagram.
The snap shows Prince William and Kate Middleton standing side by side and embracing while they pose on a scenic hilltop overlooking the Ireland coast.
“Go raibh míle maith agaibh, a chairde go léir in Éirinn 🇮🇪🇬🇧,” wrote the couple in Irish Gaelic. “Thank you to all the wonderful people we met in Ireland!” The couple then went on to share a collage of the many handwritten notes and cards they received from Irish youth during their trip.
During their three day tour of the country, William and Kate visited the cities of Dublin, County Meath, County Kildare, and Galway. The duke and duchess met with local organizations, parents and youth in order to highlight the cultural connections between Ireland and the U.K. Kate herself stayed on theme for the bulk of the trip and wore a slew of green outfits as a style ode to their host country.
Next week, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are scheduled for a highly anticipated public reunion with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle in honor of Commonwealth Day. The meeting, happening March 9th, will be the first time the royal couples will be making a joint public appearance since the Sussexes’ stepping down from royal life.
