Reader question: Say, I’m wondering if you know what’s going on just north of the Bio-Life Center and Stein Garden in Grand Chute on Schroth Lane? I saw them running fiber optic cabling this last fall, and now it’s being excavated and leveled off.

Answer: Silverstone Memory Care is building a 44-unit senior assisted living facility at 5100 W. Schroth Lane. Its rezoning and site plan were approved by the town in November.

Reader question: Looks like the building that used to be The Source restaurant has finally been sold. Any updates on who or what might be going in there?

Answer: Local investors under the name Silver Street Properties LLC purchased the property in February for $550,000 and are now looking for a restaurant operator to reopen the place.

When they ink a deal, details will be in a future column.

The Source Public House closed in 2018. It was a restaurant and music venue at 890 Lake Park Road in Menasha. Some may also remember it for its patio, which allowed customers to bring their dogs.

Reader question: When is the Speedway opening in Fox Crossing?

Answer: It’s scheduled to open June 16 at 670 N. Green Bay Road, which is at the Winchester Road on-ramp to northbound Interstate 41.

The coming Speedway will have fuel pumps, three commercial truck parking spaces and a CAT scale for trucks. Its 4,600-square-foot convenience store will have prepared foods and a beer cave.
