The CEO of furniture company Lifestyle Enterprises has written a book outlining his belief that the only objective that really matters is creating demand.
NEW YORK – The founder and CEO of furniture company Lifestyle Enterprises, Inc., William Hsieh, has authored a book entitled Re-think.: The WHW Story.
Hsieh said WHW stands for: What item at what price; How many; and When is it needed? He added that while these may seem intuitive questions for many businesses to answer, he believes they are essential building blocks for a proactive marketing approach focused on creating demand for a product rather than passively responding to it.
“I knew that I not only needed to look at the product but also at the way the product was being marketed. I needed to disrupt the traditional sales model,” said Hsieh. “I reversed the flow of this process so that I was creating demand.”
In the book, he explains how he did it and provides leaders with a practical guide to creating scalable demand for their business.
In 1996, Hsieh founded international furniture company, Lifestyle Enterprises in Taiwan. The company, which offers contemporary bedroom, living room and dining room furnishings, now sells products worldwide with North American offices that are based in High Point.
