The Philadelphia Flyers had themselves a solid week on the ice, defeating the Florida Panthers at home and on the road, but fell to the New York Islanders and Tampa Bay Lightning in regulation. Again, not too bad, but not too good, either.
General Manager Chuck Fletcher would like to add depth to the Flyers forward core, but a move at the deadline will be a bit more tricky given Philly’s current cap situation. I wouldn’t mind bringing in somebody via trade, as long as the Flyers don’t have to depart with too many assets. (Philadelphia Inquirer)
