“The family is coming down, we’re going to spend our time watching Star Wars as well,” said John Ziegler, CMX Mall of America General Manager. “It’s a great way to unwind with the family. You have a busy hectic morning, you’re excited, and now you want to go relax a little bit. You may not have enough space at home so here is a great way to spread out and lounge and relax and take in a new movie that you’ve been waiting and dying to see.”
The blockbuster hits this season that will likely keep drawing in those numbers through the holidays includes Star Wars and Frozen 2.
Because most of the Mall of America will be closed, to access the movie theater, you’ll have to park at the southeast entrance, mall level 3 at the parking ramp level 4.
The first movie showing begins at 11 a.m. Wednesday, with the last show at 10 p.m.
The Somali Village Mall on East 24th street will also be a spot open as options for food, clothes and electronics.
Walgreens and CVS are also expected to be open, though pharmacy hours will vary.
Chinese restaurants are also frequently open, including Shuang Cheng in Dinkytown.
