Reader question: Do you know what happened to the Watch Factory in the corridor of the Fox River Mall? It is not at the same location. I did not see it at another location. I’ve purchased many watches from them and batteries.

Answer: Are you referring to the Watch Co., a kiosk that had been on the central corridor of the mall, toward the Sears wing?

That kiosk appears to have closed around late summer/early fall. I left a message for the company in October and again this week, but haven’t gotten a response. I have no relocation information.

If you’re looking for a simple battery replacement, many jewelry stores can do it for you.

At Tennie’s Jewelry in downtown Appleton, for example, the charge to replace a regular watch battery is $10, and if they’re not busy when you come in, they’ll do it for you on the spot.
