About 60% of synthetic fabric is made from fossil fuels and 85% of those garments end up in landfills, making fashion one of the world’s biggest environmental challenges. And now, with runway knock-offs sold cheaply and disposed of quickly, the stakes are escalating with the rise of fast fashion.
