Scooter Braun responds to Taylor Swift feud with ‘kindness’ – Page Six

Scooter Braun appears to be maintaining a positive attitude amid his ongoing feud with Taylor Swift.

Early Tuesday Bruan took to Instagram to post a seemingly pointed message at Swift: “Kindness is the only response.” He added in the caption, “Words to live by.”

The 38-year-old music manager, who represents Justin Bieber, Ariana Grande and Demi Lovato, has been feuding with 29-year-old Swift since his company acquired her former record label, Big Machine, and in turn her master recordings. Last week, Swift claimed on social media that Braun and Big Machine Label Group owner Scott Borchetta were banning her from performing her previous hits at the upcoming American Music Awards.

Both Braun and Borchetta later denied Swift’s claims in a statement to Page Six.

“At no point did we say Taylor could not perform on the AMAs or block her Netflix special. In fact, we do not have the right to keep her from performing live anywhere,” the music company wrote in its statement.

Their feud took a wild turn when Big Machine’s Nashville offices had to be shut down on Friday because of apparent threats.

All parties, however, appeared to come to an agreement on Monday when Big Machine, in coordination with Dick Clark Productions, released a statement saying Swift can perform whatever she wants at the upcoming awards show. In a strange turn of events shortly after, Dick Clark Productions denied having approved of the released message.

Despite the back-and-forth from both parties, Swift will be sending Braun and Borchetta a strong message when she receives the Artist of the Decade award.

“Taylor will turn her AMA performance into a huge moment, and a powerful message. We are expecting to see artists such as Selena join her on stage as part of a fierce show of female artistic strength and empowerment,” a music insider told Page Six on Tuesday.

“Then, when accepting her award, Taylor will likely make a statement about artists being able to own their masters, the music they created, and how she feels she has been treated by Scooter and Scott.”
