The CMA Awards snagged a trio of fashion icons as hosts this year, and they did not disappoint with their red carpet looks.

Carrie Underwood and Dolly Parton wore intricately designed cream and gold sheath gowns, while Reba McEntire went with a sparkly black ensemble featuring fur cuffs and her timeless red hair.

Their fashion parade will undoubtedly continue with costume changes throughout this evening’s show.

Elsewhere on the red carpet, Jennifer Nettles made more than a fashion statement in a Christian Siriano suit and cape calling for equal play for women in country music.

“Play our f*@#!n records, please & thank you,” read the inside of the cape.

Brandi Carlile was perfect from head to toe in a green, glittery suit featuring leopard print accents, a pale pink pussy-bow blouse and brown suede cowboy boots.

The rest of her supergroup, the Highwomen, also looked stellar.

Maren Morris, who announced she was pregnant last month, wore a pale blue off-the-shoulder, midriff-baring gown.

Miranda Lambert opted for a pink gown embroidered with dandelions and featuring a slit up to there.

Both Nicole Kidman and Kacey Musgraves chose bright gowns covered in sequins and other baubles.

Tenille Townes and Carly Pearce adopted fierce vibes: Townes in a rhinestone-studded velvet jumpsuit and Pearce in a studded silver gown.

For the legendary Tanya Tucker, it was all country-western flair in a brown suede suit topped with a turquoise cowboy hat.
