Comedian roasts Harvey Weinstein, gets booed
An up-and-coming comedian is going viral after she roasted Harvey Weinstein to his face at an event where the disgraced film producer was in attendance. TMZ reports Kelly Bachman got booed after calling Weinstein the “Freddy Krueger in the room,” joking that she didn’t know she needed to bring her own mace and rape whistle to the show. Bachman also got plenty of cheers, though, when she had comebacks for anyone supporting Weinstein, who is awaiting trial for multiple allegations of sex abuse.
TMZ reports Weinstein was apparently invited to the event at the Downtime Bar in the Lower East Side for an event called Actors Hour, which employs artists to “create an open space for creatives to share what they love.” One actress in attendance, Zoe Stuckless, was thrown out after she started screaming at Weinstein. “Nobody’s gonna say anything?” she said “I’m gonna stand 4 feet from a f—ing rapist and no one’s gonna say anything?”
