Updates on local business moves and changes.
Moved
Branching Out & Co. has been transplanted.
The longtime, locally owned flower and gift shop had been on Casaloma Drive until last week, and is now open in its new spot.
The new shop is at 2310 W. Nordale Ave. in Grand Chute.
Broadly, that’s at the southeast corner of Northland Avenue and Lynndale Drive, in the same strip mall as Avenue Art. Nordale is the street that cuts between The Bar and Branching Out’s multi-tenant building.
Casee Hawkins has owned Branching Out & Co. with her family for a decade, and said the new location is more affordable, slightly downsized and well-suited to how the business has evolved in recent years.
“People are shopping differently because of online shopping. The bulk of our business is now on the flower side and we’re choosing to focus on that. We do everyday delivery, weddings and corporate events,” she said.
“We’ll still carry some of the gifts because there are some brands that have a very strong following. But our shop will be less focused on the gifts.”
Workshops and events have grown, and the new space is set up to do more of these. Customers can find class information listed on its Facebook page. The phone remains 920-202-3290.
Move delayed
Tandem, a store and lounge that sells beer, wine and spirits, intended to move over the Labor Day weekend. But its new location in the Edison Building, in Appleton’s river flats, won’t be ready until mid- to late-September. It will remain open at its current location, 1350 W. College Ave. in Appleton, in the interim.

Expanded
Alo Health expanded its space, staff and services at 652 W. Ridgeview Drive in Grand Chute. The holistic health services and wellness clinic will hold an open house from 4:30-7 p.m. Monday.
The firm offers natural ways to restore and maintain health using nutrition, supplementation and lifestyle education. It has private consultations and hosts wellness-related support groups and seminars. Owner Kristyn Madalinski was a registered nurse in traditional medicine for 10 years before founding this business.

Grand opening planned
The Rustic Burrow is a multi-vendor craft and art market at 3345 W. College Ave. in Grand Chute, next to Harbor Freight Tools, that opened earlier this summer.
It will hold its grand opening next Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 14 and 15, with specials, classes and a humane association fundraiser. See its Facebook page for schedules.
The large, 12,000-square-foot market is now about 75 percent full with nearly 100 vendors. Sellers show home decor, crafts, art, furniture and clothes in the market’s booths and shelves.
“We call it ‘Wisconsin’s handmade market’ because 80 to 90 percent is made by local artists, artisans and crafters,” said Adam Schwoerer, co-founder of the business. His wife, Karen Schwoerer, is the owner.
