Meri Brown would like you to listen up.
She would like you to stop whatever it is you are doing and to give her your full attention.
Okay? Got it? Are we clear?
Good. Because the veteran reality star has a message to pass along, and it goes something like this:
Go ahead and hate both the player and the game. I’m just gonna keep being me!
We’re paraphrasing, of course, but the Sister Wives cast member has shared a lengthy post on Instagram following a couple recent quasi scandals.
First, she was accused of trying to profit off a wildfire.
Then, of trying to screw over fans via a pyramid scheme.
Apparently aware of her reputation at the moment, Brown just went ahead and wrote the following online:
Not everyone likes me. That’s ok, I like me. People will criticize my shoes. That’s ok, I have foot issues and need to be careful what kind of shoes I wear to not cause too much pain.
She continued, writing all of this as a caption to the first photo published above:
People will mock my necklace because it’s not centered in this photo. That’s fine, I just did a little twirl and didn’t stop to check that it was straight before this photo was taken.
People talk trash about my dark front tooth, that’s fine, I had fun as kid and fell and it killed it, but it didn’t kill me.
People will criticize my choice of outfit because they’re not comfortable with pattern mixing, but that’s ok, because I am, and I’m the one wearing this and I feel confident.
This is the second time in just a few weeks that Meri has written a personal plea or admission of some kind.
She previously insisted that she was a good person despite a great deal of backlash.
In this case, amid talk that she’s moving away from husband Kody and leaving the polygamous world behind at last, Brown concluded:
People love to talk trash about my business choices, that’s ok, they don’t realize the truth because they just “google” their information. That’s ok, of all people, I’m one who knows what kind of “information” one gets when “googling” something.
The fact of the matter is, I’m living MY life for ME, and I’m happy with it. I’m confident in my choices. I’m happy with what I’m doing.
And that’s all that matters.
She’s mostly right, of course? It’s important to have self-confidence and a strong sense of self-belief.
But we do wonder why Meri felt the need to write this sort of message.
She really does seem to be going through something right now, you know?
