It seems frighteningly early, but this is actually the normal timing for Halloween seasonal stores to get started.
As of today, three are open and ready with their ghosts and ghouls.
•Spirit Halloween opened in mid-August at 4679 W. College Ave., Grand Chute. It’s next to OfficeMax and behind Buffalo Wild Wings.
•Spirit Halloween’s second location is opening today, according to its website, at W3208 Van Roy Road, Buchanan/Darboy, in the former Shopko Express building near Festival Foods.
•Halloween City opened Friday at 3829 E. Calumet St., next to Petco, in Darboy.
