Mark Labbett: ‘Some do’ The Chase quizzer addresses celebrity appearance fee – Express

Mark Labbett, 53, took to the micro-blogging site to respond to a Twitter user after they suggested the celebrities could donate their appearance fee to a charity. The person in question asked: “I imagine that the celebs are getting an appearance fee? Could donate that to their charity. Maybe they do that already?” In view of his 113,000 followers, Mark replied: “Some do.” It comes after The Chase star retweeted a post from his colleague Paul Sinha, 49, who responded to a person’s claims regarding the celebrity version of the show, suggesting it did little in securing a win for the contestant and their chosen charity.

A screenshot of a message from another user was posted to an account, which read: “In celebrity The Chase, the chasers goal is literally to stop dying kids getting charity money,” as a different Twitter asked the quizmasters their thoughts on the issue.

Paul replied: “All charity game shows have features whereby the win is not guaranteed. If we didn’t try we’d be guilty of criminal fraud.”

Elsewhere, The Beast’s co-star, Jenny Ryan, 37, stunned fans during a recent Twitter game of Ask The Vixen whereby a social media user dropped a bombshell.

The unknown person quizzed the star on who would make a perfect replacement if The Chase presenter Bradley Walsh, 59, no longer fronted the show.

They asked: “#AskTheVixen if Bradley Walsh was to ever leave the chase and you could choose his replacement, who would it be and why?.”

Jenny replied: “There is only one possible replacement for Bradley Walsh, and that is the BRAD5000 completely lifelike android. #AskTheVixen.”

Elsewhere, Mark recently spoke out about a photo he posed for alongside Robbie Williams, 45, his wife Ayda Field, 40, and co-star Anne Hegerty, 61, after a fan made a cheeky comment about his height in the snap.

Mark met the former Take That bandmate at the ITV summer party last month and couldn’t resist grabbing a photo opportunity with the former X Factor judges.

The Chase star shared the snap at the time, which showed him with his arms wrapped around the singer and his co-star Anne, while Ayda smiled for the camera next to her husband.

He captioned the picture: “New X Factor judging line-up surprises many #highiq.”

In spite of the star-studded photo, one fan was distracted by Mark’s statuesque frame in the shot.

They cheekily wrote back: “Damn how tall are you?!”

Mark spotted the Twitter user’s comment and addressed Robbie’s height for a comparison.

He replied in reference to his measurements: “6’6 Robbie is 6’1 but crouching a bit.”

Other fans shared their thoughts on The Chase star joining the X Factor panel, as one person gushed: “Wow, hope this is true!!!! Seeing more of my favourite chasers will improve my Saturday nights.”

The Chase airs weekdays on ITV at 5pm.
