Cancel your plans to camp out overnight for the Aug. 22 opening of Chick-fil-A.
The much-anticipated chicken restaurant’s opening has been delayed.
“We just learned the Appleton Chick-fil-A opening has pushed from Aug. 22. At this point in time we are unsure when the final opening will occur but are hoping that it will happen by early September,” said spokeswoman Cindi Pickett in an email Tuesday morning.
She didn’t give a reason for the delay.
It appears construction workers are putting in long hours to get the building completed. Hiring is underway. The restaurant is at 3775 W. College Ave. in Grand Chute, near the intersection with Interstate 41.
