Carlton Cuse and Jason Fuchs are developing a TV adaptation of The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy for Hulu, according to Deadline. Cuse is working on it as part of his overall deal with ABC Signature – a sister company of Hulu under the Walt Disney Company umbrella.
Originally created as a BBC radio serial, creator Douglas Adams quickly segued Hitchhiker’s to prose where it became an international hit. The prose novel was adaptted into BBC TV series in 1981, with Disney film adaptation released in 2005.
No release date has been set for the show.
