One business got new owners. Two others are brand new ventures.
Ballroom at the Reserve
The Ballroom at the Reserve, the neoclassical ballroom used for wedding receptions and corporate events, has new operators.
Justun and Julie Hart leased the space, the top floor of the former Equitable Reserve Association building at 116 S. Commercial St. in Neenah. They’ll manage all of the venue’s events going forward.
The Harts, Wisconsin natives, are also owners of the Timber Mill Theatre Co., a two-year-old production company that runs dinner theater events and murder mystery productions in various venues in Oshkosh and Neenah.
As of July 1, they’ll manage all of the ballroom’s events, including previously booked events through 2019.
“This gives us a home base and headquarters that we didn’t have,” said Justun Hart. “Now that we have a home base, we’d like to venture into jazz nights and ballroom dancing and more diverse forms of entertainment as well.”
He said while they’ll bring some of their theatrical productions to the ballroom, they’ll also continue to hold some events in Oshkosh.
The neenahreserve.com website, Facebook page and phone 920-383-1909 are now routed to the Harts, and they’re resuming bookings for open dates this year and beyond.
Nine. Two. Zero Salon
Nine. Two. Zero Salon opened at 1619 W. College Ave. in Appleton, which is a multi-tenant building across the street from Aldi.
The salon holds its grand opening celebration Aug. 15.
Owners/stylists Brittany Curry and Natasha Mader offer hair services, lash extensions and brow microblading. Stylists who rent chairs in the salon offer hair, nail and facial services. Stylists also offer wedding makeup and hair sessions.

Russell Sprouts Pineapple
Russell Sprouts Pineapple Studio opened Saturday at 107 S. Appleton St. in downtown Appleton.
Owner Caryssa Hendricks is a tattoo artist and painter who sees the pineapple as a positive symbol.
This tiny space, previously the Cake Guru cupcake shop, is now her tattoo studio and art gallery. It faces Houdini Plaza between Crazy Sweet Ice Cream and the future home of Shear Chaos. The shop can be reached by sidewalk while the street is closed for roadwork.
