Unsurprisingly, it’s our favourite time of year!
As part of our #ChristmasBuzz celebrations, the elves on the Buzz writing team have put their 32 favourite songs from the yuletide season into a World Cup-style tournament.

Simple as that!
Group D was won by All I Want For Christmas Is You, with 38% of the vote, and Driving Home For Christmas, with 35% of the vote.

Fairytale Of New York – The Pogues

Fairytale Of New York is regarded by many as the greatest Christmas song of all time.
It isn’t Christmas until you’re hearing this at least twice a day!
It’s been in the news lately after Eoghan McDermott suggested censoring the song’s use of the word ‘faggot’.
This provoked a serious debate with most people furious at the idea of censoring art.
RTÉ eventually confirmed they wouldn’t be censoring the song while Shane MacGowan issued a statement on the matter.

The poll is now open!
