Harry, 71, managed to beat fellow finalists John Barrowman, 51, and Emily Atack, 28, to be crowned winner of this year’s I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here!
During his three week stint, Harry was reluctant to indulge in the dinner’s the celebrities won in the Bushtucker Trials, stating he preferred traditional English food.
On many occasions, Harry said he was desperate to have some Jam Roly Poly and the former football manager was given the chance to enjoy the dessert after completing his final Bushtucker Trial last night.
However, Harry caused outraged among fans of the ITV reality show when he chose Sticky Toffee Pudding to eat as part of his final meal.
Taking to Twitter, one viewer wrote: “A bit gutted that Harry didn’t choose jam roly poly.”
Another added: “Hope there’s a jam roly poly waiting for Harry when he walks across that bridge #ImACeleb.”
Whilst a third commented: “Hazza what a let down. Where is the jam roly poly #ImACeleb?”
A fourth exclaimed: “Can’t believe Harry didn’t order jam roly poly after banging in about it for the last three weeks. I’m disappointed #ImACeleb.”
However, Harry still managed to win viewers round as he took the crown from last year’s winner, Georgia Toffolo, 24.
To get his hands on the Sticky Toffee Pudding, Harry had to face his worst fears as he was locked in a cage full of rats as well as other jungle critters.
Although he tried his best, the former football manager had to be pulled out mid-way through the Bushtucker Trial as a bug had burrowed its way into his ear.
Medic Bob made the call and Harry’s premature withdrawal from the Trial left Holly Willoughby, 37, in tears as she praised the I’m A Celebrity star.
Holly began to cry once again during Harry’s winning interview as he discussed his love with wife Sandra Redknapp, who he has spoken about many times in the jungle.
After watching a montage of him speaking about his wife, both Harry and Holly were overcome with emotion.
“There was one person who was star of the show, but wasn’t actually on the show and that was Sandra and you spoke about her a lot in there,” Holly told the winner.
After revealing Harry and Sandra had been married for 54 years, Dec Donnelly, 43, went on to question the football star about coping without her.
Harry said: “Very difficult, very difficult. Yes, it wasn’t easy.”
Composing herself, Holly commented: “Do you think being in there has made you a little bit more independent in some ways?”
The new king of the jungle said: “No I think I’ll still be shouting out ‘Sand’.”
Following the discussion of his three week stint, Harry was then given his crown before being reunited with his beloved wife.
