James Woods Trolled After His Hollywood Agent Drops Him: 'Virulent Racist A–hole'

James Woods drew ridicule on Thursday from Internet liberals after he said his talent agent dropped him because of his right-wing political views.

“It’s the 4th of July and I’m feeling patriotic. I don’t want to represent you anymore. I mean I could go on a rant but you know what I’d say,” Ken Kaplan told Woods in an email, according to the actor. The actor called him a “political liberal” after posting the message online.

Kaplan, a partner at The Gersh Agency, did not immediately respond to request for comment from TheWrap. He also represents such stars as Winona Ryder and Kristen Stewart, according to IMDbPro.

Woods, an Emmy-winning actor, who has become an outspoken Trump supporter and ferocious Twitter troll in recent years, shot back at Kaplan on Twitter.

“Dear Ken, I don’t actually,” he said. “I was thinking if you’re feeling patriotic, you would appreciate free speech and one’s right to think as an individual. Be that as it may, I want to thank you for all your hard work and devotion on my behalf. Be well.”

Online, where Wood’s wrath is well known, few prominent media and Hollywood blue checks were very sympathetic. Many were happy to add their own kick out the door.

It’s cute that James Woods thinks he’s been blacklisted by Hollywood because he’s conservative. Adam Sandler, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Bruce Willis, Clint Eastwood and the Rock have all been prominently conservative during their careers and are still working a ton.

For the record, Woods didn’t lose his agent because he’s conservative. He didn’t lose his agent because he can’t make money anymore, or because he isn’t a good actor. He lost his agent because no one wants to work with virulent racist assholes.
