Dolly Parton is bringing some new Jolene-inspired content to Netflix.
Parton announced Monday morning that her Dixie Pixie Productions is partnering with Warner Bros. Television to produce a series of films that will premiere on Netflix in 2019, according to a press release.
Each film in the series will focus on a different Parton song, and she will appear in some of them.
“As a songwriter, I have always enjoyed telling stories through my music. I am thrilled to be bringing some of my favorite songs to life with Netflix. We hope our show will inspire and entertain families and folks of all generations, and I want to thank the good folks at Netflix and Warner Bros. TV for their incredible support,” said Parton in the press release.
Parton will serve as the series’ executive producer. She also worked with Warner Bros. to produce her films, Dolly Parton’s Coat of Many Colors and Dolly Parton’s Christmas of Many Colors: Circle of Love, which aired on NBC in 2015 and 2016 respectively.

Parton has several new projects up her sleeve.
She is currently finishing production on the music for the upcoming film, Dumplin’.
Dumplin’ stars Jennifer Aniston, who also serves as a producer on the film. In the movie, which is based on a book of the same name, the daughter (Danielle Macdonald) of a beauty queen (Aniston), is inspired by Parton’s music. Anne Fletcher is directing the film, and Linda Perry is working with Parton on the music.
Parton is also involved in the upcoming sequel to 1980’s 9 to 5 with Jane Fonda and Lilly Tomlin. She said in March that the film’s script should be done by the end of this year, and she will write some music for it.
