“American Idol” winner Maddie Poppe, runner-up Caleb Lee Hutchinson, third-place finisher Gabby Barrett and the rest of the Top 7 are heading out on the road this summer to play a series of live concert dates around the country. Season 8 “Idol” champ Kris Allen will host this trio of season 16 artists as well as Cade Foehner, Jurnee Siani, Catie Turner and Michael J. Woodard.
The 10-week tour kicks off in Redding, CA on July 11 and concludes on Sept. 16 in the nation’s capital. In between, it will travel to a whopping 45 other cities. Scroll down to see if your town is on the tour map.
The “American Idol” tour was a tradition for the first 14 years of the show on FOX. It showcased such winners as Kelly Clarkson (season 1), Carrie Underwood (season 4) and Allen. However, with the cancellation of “American Idol” by FOX in 2016, the season 15 winner, Trent Harmon, didn’t get a chance to tour.

Jared Paul, who produces the highly successful live version of ABC’s “Dancing with the Stars,” is overseeing the logistics of the 2018 tour. He has booked it into smaller venues than previous editions. And he has added an opening act: In Real Life, winners of the summer 2017 ABC reality competition series “Boy Band.” As with Poppe, they too have a deal with Disney Records, which is owned by the parent company of ABC.
