Shaqiri could be offered a Premier League lifeline
Sunday, May 13, 2018
Stoke City winger Xherdan Shaqiri has a £12 million release clause with three Premier League clubs interested in signing him.
Everton, West Ham United and Crystal Palace are all interested in the former Bayern Munich man, who has scored eight league goals this season.
Despite Shaqiri’s fantastic personal campaign, the Potters were unable to stave off relegation to the Championship.
And according to The Sun, the Switzerland international will be allowed to leave the bet365 Stadium for just £12 million in the summer.
That is the same price Stoke paid Inter Milan for his services three years ago.
With Crystal Palace talisman potentially set to leave the club and Everton seriously lacking attacking firepower, both sides are keen on the 26-year-old.
Also, West Ham are reportedly interested in linking up Shaqiri with his former teammate Marko Arnautovic – who has scored ten goals and registered five assists since leaving Stoke last summer.
The duo had a near telepathic understanding whilst playing together under former boss Mark Hughes.
