El Jaripeo Mexican Restaurant will open Wednesday at 1727 Freedom Road in Little Chute.
That’s not to be confused with El Jaripeo already open at 1821 E. Main St. in Little Chute.
Yes, this village of 11,000 will have two, and they have the same menu.
“We have loyal customers in Little Chute,” said Edgar Sandoval, manager of the new location and son of owner Antonio Sandoval.
“If we abandon the first one, people will be upset. It’s a great location and it has a patio. People like to walk over and have a margarita.”

The new El Jaripeo took the former Main Event/Millstone Bierhuis, which the Sandovals bought for $1.15 million. They put in new equipment and painted it bright red and yellow inside.
The family had been looking to buy a building, and this opportunity was good, Edgar said. The new location, double the size of the first one, can seat more diners, accommodate private parties and has a full bar.
To tell them apart, they call the first El Hardee’s because the building was originally a Hardee’s. They simply call the new place “two.”

The family also has Los Jaripeos restaurants in Seymour and Oshkosh. El Jaripeos in Greenville and Appleton are separately owned by cousin Oscar.
