Gossip: Centre-half to leave Man United on loan?

LINDELOF OUT ON LOAN?
This feels like odd timing after Victor Lindelof a) played against Arsenal yesterday and b) played pretty well against Arsenal yesterday – particularly in the first half, according to 16 Conclusions – but who are we to question The Sun Online’s resident Manchester United gossip-meister Daniel Cutts, for he claims that ‘Jose Mourinho could send Victor Lindelof out on loan next season’. Well he definitely could.

Lindelof’s best game for United today. Good with the ball and sound defensively. Looks quicker than I thought he was too. Promising for next season

Lindelof arrived last summer for over £30m but has started just 12 Premier League games. According to a ‘source’: “Victor has plenty of promise but Jose is wondering whether to send him out on loan next year. Smalling is back in favour and he has some other targets he wants to pursue at the back throughout the summer.”

United want to upgrade their centre-back options, with both Samuel Umtiti and Jonny Evans mentioned as possible signings.

TIERNEY WANTED BY, ERM, BOURNEMOUTH
Now if Celtic’s Kieran Tierney is wondering whether he wants to leave his beloved Hoops to join Manchester United – as has been previously suggested – we cannot really imagine that he will be super-keen to leave his beloved Hoops to join Bournemouth, but The Sun claim that Eddie Howe ‘is ready to battle with Premier League giants for the £20million-rated Celtic star’.

Apparently the Cherries believe they can offer Tierney first-team football and a stepping stone to a bigger club, but we cannot help but notice that the problem with that theory is that Celtic are offering those things allied with trophies and the opportunity to play for the club he supports.
