The mystery of #WhoBitBeyoncé has officially taken over late night television.
James Corden set out to find the mystery actress behind Tiffany Haddish‘s now viral story with a news team stacked with celebrity talent on Thursday’s Late Late Show.
Taking the CBS Evening news desk with Oscar winner Helent Hunt, and Ben Schwartz and Chris O’Dowd as correspondents, Corden tried to get to the bottom of the story.
“It’s been five days since this story was first reported, and with every additional day that passes, this is quickly becoming one of the greatest unsolved mysteries of our time,” Corden said.
“Indeed,” Hunt agreed. “At this point, there are only two worlds that exist: The world before March 26, 2018, and the world after March 26, 2018 — or whenever you saw the story trending on Twitter.”
“One thing we know for sure is that according to Tiffany Haddish—and now confirmed by Chrissy Teigen—the person who bit Beyoncé is an actress,” Hunt continued, with Corden joking, “that makes sense. Actresses are crazy — am I right, or am I right?”
Schwartz then weighed in and quickly recapped which actress have issued denials.
“The denials keep rolling in, and as of now, Lena Dunham, Jennifer Lawrence and Frances McDormand have all denied biting Beyoncé,” he said. Hunt then cleared herself, announcing that “Helen Hunt has also denied biting Beyoncé.”

But as competent as the celebrity news team is, they still couldn’t get to the bottom of the mystery first started by Haddish earlier this year. The Girls Trip star, 38, added another chapter to the epic story that led to her famous selfie with Beyoncé during a recent interview with GQ. Haddish said that after formally meeting the pop star at a post-JAY-Z concert party (the singer simply approached her and said, “I’m Beyoncé” like it was no big deal, she claimed), she was witness to a crazy interaction.
“There was this actress there that’s just, like, doing the mostest,” Haddish said before adding, “She bit Beyoncé in the face.”
The comedienne continued, “So Beyoncé stormed away, went up to JAY-Z, and was like, ‘Jay! Come here! This bitch—’ and snatched him. They went to the back of the room. I was like, ‘What just happened?’ And Beyoncé’s friend walked up and was like, ‘Can you believe this bitch just bit Beyoncé?’ ”
Beyoncé’s representative, Yvette Noel-Schure, responded to the claim by telling GQ, “I absolutely cannot comment on any of this, as I have no knowledge.”
The comedienne wouldn’t name Queen Bey’s attacker but said that wasn’t the end of their dealings that night. Haddish said the actress later told her to stop dancing, so the funny lady gave Beyoncé a heads up that she wasn’t afraid to scuffle.
“I’m going to beat somebody ass at your party. I just want to let you know that,” Haddish claimed she told Beyoncé. However, the singer told her to forget about it and “have fun,” Haddish said, leading to their selfie to cool down tension.
