Isle of Dogs: The latest from Wes Anderson, this animated adventure/comedy deals with a boy looking for his dog in Japan. The voice talent includes Bryan Cranston, Edward Norton, Greta Gerwig, Bill Murray and Jeff Goldblum. Courtney B. Vance is the narrator.
Keep the Change: Seen last year at the San Francisco Jewish Film Festival, this comedy is a love story about two autistic adults who meet and fall in love at a support group in New York City.
Midnight Sun: This remake of a Japanese film features Bella Thorne and Patrick Schwarzenegger in a movie about a 17-year-old girl who has life-threatening sensitivity to sunlight who risks everything to go out on a date with the boy she has a crush on.
Pacific Rim Uprising: “Star Wars” actor John Boyega (Finn) plays another hero, this time as the son of Stacker Pentecost from the first “Pacific Rim.” He teams up with Mako Moro (Rinko Kikuchi) as the next generation to fight the Kaijus.
Ramen Heads: This documentary follows Osamu Tomita, Japan’s king of ramen, to teach us all about soup and noodles.
Sherlock Gnomes: The game is afoot with Johnny Depp as the title character who gets help from Gnomeo (James McAvoy) and Juliet (Emily Blunt) in solving who stole the garden ornaments. Other voices include Mary J. Blige, Michael Caine, Maggie Smith and Chiwetel Ejiofor as Watson.
Unsane:Steven Soderbergh directs this movie about a woman (Claire Foy) who is committed to a mental institution. She may or may not be crazy.
