Chicken Palace has closed at 2601 W. College Ave. in Grand Chute. It was in a small strip mall across the street from WG&R Furniture.

Its sister restaurant — a former Chicken Palace location now known as Chicken Grill Mexican Restaurant – remains open at 1550 Appleton Road in Menasha. It’s the bright orange freestanding restaurant in front of Shopko.

Marco and Fe Montalvo own both restaurants. Fe Montalvo did not immediately respond to messages. Marco Montalvo could not be reached.

An employee in the Menasha restaurant, Fernando Bautista, said the College Avenue location closed at the end of its lease.

“We’re going to keep only one restaurant,” he said.

Post-Crescent archives show the Chicken Palace in Grand Chute had been open for five years.
