Reader question: We’ve noticed that the building on Washington Street in Menasha, formerly Graphic Packaging, had a sign in front saying ‘now available.’ The sign is now gone. Do you know what is happening there?
Answer: The former Graphic Packaging International plant at 160 Washington St. was purchased Feb. 13 by C. Coakley Relocation Systems for $1.675 million, according to state records.
The West Allis-based C. Coakley company offers residential and commercial relocation services, as well as installation and warehousing.
“We have been working in the Fox Valley for years, but this was a great opportunity to have a strong physical presence and be more accessible to our present and future customers,” president Chris Coakley said at the time of the purchase in a release.
He said the company planned to hire 25 to 30 full-time employees in Menasha. See more about the company at www.ccoakley.com.
Graphic Packaging closed around the end of 2016.
