Tori Spelling's 'breakdown' may be due to…

Police were called to the Los Angeles home of Tori Spelling Thursday morning after someone called 911 to say the TV star was having some kind of “nervous breakdown,” TMZ and other outlets are reporting.

Law enforcement sources told TMZ that the call came shortly after 7 a.m. and that the mother of five was being “very aggressive.” While she reportedly didn’t have any weapons, she was agitated enough for someone in the house to call 911.

According to the dispatch call cited by The Blast, Spelling, 44, was described as a “female” with a possible “mental illness.”

It’s not clear what sparked the incident but both The Blast and TMZ said the “Beverly Hills 90201” alum was hanging out on Wednesday afternoon with Corinne Olympios.

The former “Bachelor” star suggested to TMZ that Spelling might be feeling the demands of motherhood. Oympios said she was hanging out with Spelling, following Spelling’s taping of a Facebook Live cooking show. The two were in the makeup room and Spelling at first seemed quiet then exhibited signs of “a distressed mom,” Olympios told TMZ.

Olympios said Spelling seemed particularly overwhelmed by the fact that she got pregnant immediately after giving birth to her fourth child. Spelling and McDermott, 51, welcomed their fifth child together in March 2017. Olympios added to TMZ that Spelling cracked a joke about not wanting to head straight home.

Spelling had also called police Wednesday night because she thought someone was breaking into her house, but it turned out to just be her husband Dean McDermott coming home, TMZ said.

Spelling has reportedly dealt with mental health issues in the past.

In 2014, she reportedly checked herself into Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, saying she might be dealing with Ebola-like symptoms, but her complaints may have been a ruse to cover up her “crumbling personal life,” TMZ said at the time.

She and McDermott, whom she married in 2006, were having marital troubles, which could be due to his 2013 affair, TMZ said.

Since then, the couple have continued to deal with numerous issues, notably serious financial setbacks, especially in the past year.

Spelling and McDermott, 51, are parents of Liam, 10, Stella, 9, Hattie, 7, Finn, 6, and Beau Dean, the baby born in March 2017.

In September, Spelling’s mother, Candy Spelling, expressed the wish that her daughter would realize that five kids is enough. In an interview with Us Weekly, the widow of Aaron Spelling said that her daughter certainly loves her children but she, hopefully, is done making babies.

Left unsaid in Candy Spelling’s remarks was her view that her daughter and her husband probably can’t afford the kids they already have.

While Aaron Spelling made Candy Spelling fabulously wealthy, leaving a $600 million fortune upon his death in 2006, he famously left his only daughter just $800,000.

In 2014, Candy Spelling told the New York Times that her daughter’s reckless spending habits were the reason she was largely cut out of her husband’s will.

Spelling and McDermott have frequently made headlines for trying to enjoy the life-style of Hollywood royalty while struggling to meet their monthly bills via low-level reality TV gigs and self-promotional stunts like charging guests $300 eachto attend her 43rd birthday party at a Danish castle in 2016.

In September 2017, McDermott risked jail time by failing to pay enough of his $1,500 monthly child support payments to his ex-wife, Mary Jo Eustace, for their then-18-year-old son, Page Six reported. In March 2017, McDermott narrowly avoided jail for not keeping up with child-support payments.

In November 2017, Tori Spelling was ordered to appear in court over an unpaid $220,000 judgment she owed to City National Bank, which sued her and McDermott for failing to pay back a $188,000 loan, The Blast reported.

In April, the IRS emptied the bank accounts of Spelling and McDermott, after they were hit with a federal tax lien of $707,487 in unpaid federal taxes, Page Six reported.
