More Marvel Gossip – Eternals, Children Of The Atom, Moira MacTaggert – Bleeding Cool News

We ran a little Marvel publishing gossip earlier this week, well here’s a little more.
C.B.Cebulski as Editor-In-Chief is credited with doing a good job bringing the team through the current crisis so may have a little more leeway going forward. Nick Spencer will be on Spider-Man into late 2021/2022, depending on schedule, but much is expected of the upcoming storyline. And Tom Taylor will be making his return to the X-Men books for the Free Comic Book Summer title, but we hear going forward he may be working on a Moira Mactaggert title.
The planned Children Of The Atom ongoing series by Vita Ayala and Bernard Chang has yet to be rescheduled. I am told that a lot of work went into it as part of the Dawn Of X – but if and when it is published, it will be a limited series only, not an ongoing.
We mentioned before that there may be a coming moratorium at Marvel Comics for limited series and one-shots. There will be an exception for movie and TV tie-ins – such as the delayed Taskmaster book by Jed MacKay and Alessandro Vitti, that ties in with the Black Widow movie.
There were huge plans for the end of the year with big-name talent involving the Eternals, to tie in with the movie, with a number of major books being worked on and developed – remember, Neil Gaiman worked on a previous Eternals revival, but with the movie in flux and Marvel looking again at publishing plans, some of this is also up in the air. But if there is a gap in Marvel publishing plans in November, that will be down to a chunk of Eternals content being shifted to February 2021
That’s what I’ve been hearing anyway. Your mileage, of course, may vary.
