Humane Society of Summit County: Adoption fees have been reduced to $50 for adult dogs and $10 for adult cats during the conavirus emergency. The humane society is currently limiting intake strictly to those animals from Summit County that are sick or injured, or victims of abuse or neglect. Call humane officers at 330-405-0620.

Wayne County Humane Society: The shelter is open but the public is asked to refrain from visiting unless you have an approved adoption application. View adoptable animals at http://www.wchs.org/animals and complete an adoption application at http://www.wchs.org/animals/adopt-pet/adoption-application. Once your application has been approved, you will be contacted by staff to schedule an appointment. If it isn’t a match, you are not obligated to adopt. Applications are good for 90 days. If you find a stray cat or would like to surrender an animal, contact the shelter to set up an appointment.
