Jay Cutler ‘belittled’ Kristin Cavallari and ‘made her cry all the time’ on E! series: ‘She couldn’t take it anymore’

Kristin Cavallari and her estranged husband Jay Cutler were ‘struggling’ for ‘at least three years’ before their April 7th legal separation, and the signs were there behind the scenes of her E! series, Very Cavallari.
‘He would make her cry all the time during production. He talked down to her and belittled her. She couldn’t take it anymore,’ a source told People on Thursday.
‘He belittles Kristin and makes her cry in front of other people. He flies off the handle at the littlest thing and would make Kristin absolutely miserable.’

A source told People on Thursday: ‘He would make her cry all the time during production. He talked down to her and belittled her. She couldn’t take it anymore’
Fans of the reality show might recall one episode last year where the 37-year-old retired NFL star got drunk during a dinner party at their home and called his 33-year-old wife ‘the breadspender.’
‘If Kristin wants to buy something, she buys it. If there’s something that we have to pay for, “we” pay for it,’ Jay sarcastically said motioning quotation marks.
At that, Kristin got embarrassed and clapped back: ‘Okay, not like all the s*** that you go out and buy.’
It’s worth noting that a lot of professional athletes experience a tough time emotionally transitioning from the glory on the field to the second stage in their careers.

It was Jay who first filed for divorce from Kristin citing ‘irreconcilable differences’ and requesting joint physical and legal custody of their kids.
June 7 would’ve marked the couple’s seventh wedding anniversary, and it’s unclear whether or not they signed pre-nuptial or post-nuptial agreements.
Kristin and the Vanderbilt University grad – who announced their separation on Sunday – began their up-and-down romance in 2010 and they previously split between July-November 2011.

The former Paradise Hotel host is also ‘excited’ to appear on the second season of the MTV’s The Hills: New Beginnings, telling ET: ‘It’s a whole new production team, so hopefully it’s not as manufactured.’
Kristin starred in MTV spin-off The Hills from 2009-2010 after heading up Laguna Beach: The Real Orange County from 2004-2006 – both of which were criticized for fabricating storylines.
