Six Fox Cities craft brewers have banded together for a drive-thru beer pick-up event called New Brew Drive-Thru.

It takes place from noon to 4 p.m. Sunday in the parking lot of Stone Arch Brewpub, 1004 S. Olde Oneida St. in Appleton.

The New Brew Drive-Thru was designed to help out local brewers who’ve lost sales during the coronavirus outbreak.

Participating breweries are McFleshman’s Brewing Co., Stone Arch Brew House, Appleton Beer Factory, Fox River Brewing Company, Lion’s Tail Brewing Co. and Barrel 41 Brewing Co.

Craft brewery sales have dropped more than 70%, according to a survey earlier this month by the Brewers Association, a trade group that promotes small and independent craft brewers around the country.

On Sunday, customers will enter the Stone Arch parking lot from the south side, which is E. Lincoln Street. They’ll stay in their cars as they purchase sealed containers of local brews to go.

“Payment specifics are still being worked out,” said Appleton Beer Factory’s co-founder Ben Fogel. “But we’ll be making it as contact-less as possible.”

He said organizers will post more details on products and prices on the events tab on the left side of each of the six breweries’ Facebook pages.
