David Beckham cuddles and reads book to daughter Harper in adorable video – OK! magazine

Sharing clips to his Instagram stories, David Beckham is seen reading a Peter Pan book to his youngest child, eight year old daughter Harper.

Every inch the doting dad, David urged his followers to enjoy the “special moments’ with their children during the coronavirus outbreak, which is seeing families remaining at home and practice social distancing.

As the Beckham’s isolate at their home in the Cotswolds, Harper sits on her father’s knee as he reads a Peter Pan and Wendy book to her.

David wrote: “At times like when our kids feel a little anxious it’s important to have special moments with them.”

Showcasing the close bond that he has with Harper, former footballer David sweetly wrote: “hugs all around” and “cuddles for days”.

He also got annoyed with himself when he stumbled over his words while he read, as he wrote: “Grrrrrrrrrrr messed up. Sorry pretty lady, bad teacher.” [sic]

Earlier this week, David, who is also dad to Brooklyn, 21, Romeo, 17, Cruz, 15, encouraged the public to stay at home in an Instagram post.

He shared a snap of himself to his 61.7m followers as he held up a pink sheet of paper with the words “#IStayHomeForVBAndMyKids.”

He captioned the post: “Staying at home for the ones that we love. Thank you @kevinbacon for nominating me. I’m staying at home for Victoria and our kids, including Cruzie who’s made his way into this photo. Let’s stop the coronavirus spread together.”


Wife Victoria, 45, also took to her social media to send her thanks to health workers for all that they are doing amid the coronavirus outbreak.

She wrote: “Everything feels strange and uncertain with Covid-19. My thoughts have been with all of you – my community and your loved ones.

“I hope everyone is keeping safe and protecting themselves x.

“We are continuing to learn from the experts and navigating a new way of communicating and supporting each other through this time.

“Most of all, i am thinking of the incredible NHS staff and healthcare workers around the world.

“The solidarity and kindness that has spread online is overwhelming and we must continue to be kind and resilient. xxxx VB.”
