Celeb surgeon says stars want facelifts to use coronavirus lockdown as cover story – Irish Mirror

A celebrity surgeon says a lot of stars are clamouring for facelifts in a bid to make the most out of the coronavirus pandemic.

As countries around the world go into lockdown, Botched star Dr Terry Dubrow says some celebrities are hoping to take advantage of being out of the public eye by having a secret nip and tuck.

But he says that some procedures just aren’t smart right now.

The doctor told TMZ Live that some of Hollywood’s biggest stars are seeing self-isolation as the perfect cover up for some cosmetic work.

He said his Orange County practice is receiving a lot of calls from the rich and famous in Beverly Hills, where no one is permitted to get elective beauty treatments or cosmetic surgeries during the pandemic.

And he says the most popular procedure people are hoping to get during their downtime is a facelift.

Dr Dubrow said: “As incredible as it sounds, it’s actually true. It’s almost like Christmas Vacation.

“We’re getting calls, particularly from Beverly Hills celebrities and high profile people, people you guys talk about on your show all the time, because Beverly Hills is shut down, you’re not allowed to have elective beauty treatments or cosmetic surgeries in Beverly Hills now.

The doctor warned people against doing their own botox

“I’m in Orange County, we’re still open, but what I’m telling people is to be really smart about it.”

When asked what procedures people want, he added: “Well, a lot of them want their facelifts, they want to do their major overhauls that they were sort of waiting for their break between movies to do.

“But I’m putting the hold button on that. What I’m telling them is, ‘Listen, you want to come in, you’re feeling good, you don’t have a fever, you haven’t been around people that have been travelling and so on and so forth, maybe do some botox, maybe do some filler, do those kind of things.”

He said he would tell patients to hold off on any major procedures right now, in case they have complications and have to go to the hospital.

He also warned people not to attempt to do their own botox at home.
