Like the rest of us, there’s a good chance you’re cooped up in the house this weekend…with no sports to watch.

So instead of looking at the 40 cases of bottled water barricading your doorway, check out these 10 great sports movie trailers, and maybe sit down and watch one after!

*This list is in no particular order, and some are simply personal preference, but many are stalwarts in the sports movie hall of fame…check ’em out!

We’ve all heard the story of Rudy Ruettiger (played by Sean Astin), the boy who dreamed of playing football at Notre Dame.

The 1993 film, based on a true story, portrays Rudy’s underdog rise as he overcomes dyslexia and life working in the steel mills with his father to gain acceptance at ND before fightin’ his way onto the school’s football team.

Sylvester Stallone’s knockout debut as Rocky Balboa, the Italian Stallion boxer from Philadelphia, in which he unceremoniously rises to the top of boxing’s heavyweight ranks.

The 1976 film was just the first installment in the eight-film franchise.

Coach Carter

Samuel L. Jackson takes on the role of Coach Ken Carter in this 2005 film based on the true story of Richmond High School’s basketball team.

Carter’s unorthodox methods whip his team, riddled by the street life, into shape en route to competing for the state title in one of the more underrated sports films of all time.
