U.S. stock index futures plunged 5% on Monday to hit a daily trading limit, as global recession fears were amplified by a 25% slump in oil prices and the relentless march of the coronavirus across the United States and Europe. .N

At 8:41 a.m. ET, Dow e-minis 1YMc1 were down 4.87% at 24,534. S&P 500 e-minis ESc1 were down 4.89% at 2,819, while Nasdaq 100 e-minis NQc1 were down 4.82% at 8,093.25.
