Peter Weber faced an ultimatum from Madison Prewett on Monday’s episode of The Bachelor as she promised to leave him for good if he slept with another woman.

When Peter, 28, confessed to having been ‘intimate’ during Fantasy Suite week with at least one of the other two women, Madison, 23, appeared to walk away from him.

‘I hate this situation right now,’ said Peter, who was in love with Madison, and begged her to stay. ‘I know how fricking tough this is for you. I can’t lose you. Say something.’

‘I can’t change who I am,’ Madison said. ‘I can’t change what I believe in, what I stand for and what I need. And I don’t want to feel bad for having that, and being that.’

As the season 24 episode ended, Madison walked away from Peter, who looked devastated.

Just moments before, Madison had told him she was saving herself for marriage, which threw Peter for a loop, especially since he already knew she didn’t want him to have sex with anyone else.

‘Growing up, I made a commitment to myself, and I decided that I wanted to save myself for marriage,’ said Madison, who worked as a foster-parent recruiter in Auburn, Alabama.

‘The day that I say ”I do” to the person that I want to spend the rest of my life with is the day that he’s getting all of me. Body, soul and spirit, I’m his,’ she told Peter.

Peter reeled, but remained calm, saying, ‘I respect the hell out of you for being able to make that commitment to yourself, to save that for marriage, and that’s such a beautiful thing in my eyes. And that’s not me, and we’re different in that regard.’

Madison had told Peter how she felt as soon as the last episode’s rose ceremony ended as she learned that she was one of the last three women standing.

‘I’m really torn right now,’ she admitted in a confessional. ‘We’re at a point where it’s really serious and really real, and I’m developing stronger and stronger feelings for Peter. But I don’t think Peter knows how much I’m struggling with moving to the next level of the Fantasy Suites, and the engagement.’

‘My faith is literally everything to me and so I have saved myself for marriage,’ she revealed. ‘I can’t keep moving forward and continue this relationship if I don’t get the clarity and peace and confidence that I need.’

As the two of them sat on a bench outside Camarillo Airport, in Camarillo, California, Madison poured out her heart to Peter, who looked concerned.

‘I want to be honest about who I am, and how I feel,’ she told him. ‘If next week you were to sleep with somebody else, it would be really hard for me to really move forward in this. And I just feel like I owe it to you to be up front with you, and honest about that.’

‘What are you saying?’ Peter asked. ‘If I were to spend the night with someone else, that is not something that you could do?’

Madison was unsure how to answer, but offered, ‘In no way do I want to give you an ultimatum or tell you what you can do or can’t do at all, and I hope you know that, and I hope you know my heart. But I don’t know. For me, actions speak louder than words.’

Privately, Peter admitted that Madison meant ‘so much’ to him, noting that he’d told her before any other woman on the show that he was falling in love with her.

‘But [I] definitely was kind of thrown a curveball just now,’ he observed. ‘And it’s tough being in this position because I don’t just have one relationship right now.’

Also competing for Peter’s heart were Hannah Ann Sluss, 23, a model from Powell, Tennessee, and Victoria Fuller, 26, a medical sales representative from Virginia Beach, Virginia.

Both of those women had said they were falling in love with him, while Madison had not made the declaration to Peter.

‘That’s definitely frustrating because I need to feel that she is on the same level that I am at,’ Peter added. ‘This next week, I am going to have to make some really tough decisions.’

When the women arrived on the Gold Coast of Australia for their Fantasy Suite dates, Peter was no less confused, saying he felt ‘very seriously’ about all three of them that were left.

Madison, however, was dreading the entire week, and things were made even worse by the fact that all three potential brides were rooming together Down Under.

Peter first asked Hannah Ann to go on a jetskiing date with him, and as their day kicked off, she crowed, ‘Hopefully it’s a long day, long night. I hope he’s ready.’

She empathized with the difficulties she knew he might be having ‘compartmentalizing’ his feelings for everyone, and Peter felt better for her understanding and confidence in him.

‘I believe in us,’ Hannah Ann said. ‘And if you believe in something, it overrides a lot of fear.’

Peter told Hannah Ann he was falling in love with her, and privately added, ‘If this is what love is, then this is true love, because I’m feeling it. I never want to come down from this.’

Over dinner, Hannah Ann gave Peter the freedom to do what he needed to make a decision.

‘I want you to do what you have to do, to get there if you can,’ she offered. ‘I don’t have to know the details. I don’t care. It’s about being together in the end.’

She went confidently with Peter to the Fantasy Suite, which had a hot tub, luxurious lounge and gorgeous view of the Gold Coast.

‘I am so in love with this man,’ Hannah Ann said, drinking champagne and making out with him.

Back at the hotel, Madison said she was ‘reaching her breaking point’ as Peter dated them all.

On Victoria’s date, she and Peter took a helicopter ride over the Gold Coast, landing at the top of a waterfall, where they, too, drank champagne and discussed their relationship.

‘The passion is 100 percent there,’ Peter said of Victoria. ‘Some people might think it’s too much there, but for me, I’m really attracted to that. It’s never going to be a boring relationship.’

Right away, Peter told Victoria that he hoped that they could get beyond their past issues.

‘I have not had any other relationship that’s been tried as hard as ours has,’ he said. ‘But when I fight for something and I want it, I am not someone who just gives up easily.’

‘Me too,’ Victoria agreed. ‘Once I am invested in somebody and something, it’s like game over.’

At dinner that night, Peter told Victoria that he needed to know that he could count on her, and Victoria noted she could be defensive, often feeling like she wasn’t ‘good enough’ for men.

‘I don’t necessarily want something to be just so easy all the time and so monotone, and not challenging,’ Peter said, before Victoria accompanied him to their cozy, candlelit Fantasy Suite.

They woke up in bed happy together, and Victoria finally told Peter she was ‘in love’ with him.

At the hotel, Madison had been telling Hannah Ann that she felt Peter sleeping with someone else was ‘kind of like, a make-or-break for me.’

Hannah Ann couldn’t believe her attitude, telling the cameras, ‘I was thrown off by that. We knew what we signed up for… It’s truly madness.’

When Victoria got back, Madison asked her if she had gotten ‘the clarity’ she felt she needed.

Victoria said yes, calling the date ‘productive,’ and Madison walked out of the room.

When Hannah Ann told Victoria about her conversation with Madison, and the expectations Madison had for Peter, Victoria was incensed on Peter’s behalf.

Peter seemed thrilled to see Madison when she arrived for their date, which the two of them would spend climbing to the top of a 90-story Gold Coast skyscraper.

‘I love every single second I ever get to spend with Madison,’ Peter admitted, beaming.

Once they strapped into safety suits, he and Madison rode an elevator almost to the building’s top, then scaled ladders in the open air to reach its highest point.

Madison said that Peter made her feel safe and secure, and she declared that she could see him as ‘a father to my kids… and the man that I’ve just realized that I’m in love with.’

Peter was still ‘nervous’ for dinner with Madison, aware that she would inquire about his dates.

As they sat down, he confessed that she’d put him in a difficult position over the past week.

She said she hadn’t meant to give him an ultimatum, but revealed that she had been saving herself for marriage, and needed to be clear about her expectations.

‘For me, personally, I wouldn’t be able to say yes to an engagement and continuing to move forward if you have slept with other women,’ Madison shared. ‘I’m not in any way trying to come across as judgmental, or hold something over your head, but at the same time, those are my expectations that I’d have in life.’

Peter looked miserable.

‘So, just to like, be very clear,’ he said, ‘you would possibly want to give up, like a forever with each other because of something that happened this week, with another relationship of mine. You’d be able to walk away from this.’

‘I just can’t wrap my mind around, in a week from now, you were down on one knee, and six days before that, you slept with somebody else,’ Madison said.

Peter squirmed as he became ‘deeply uncomfortable’ with the direction the conversation was taking.

‘I don’t know how to let go of the things that I need in a relationship,’ Madison continued. ‘I don’t want to feel like a bad person for the standards that I have.’

She said she’d already had a hard time looking past Peter kissing other women on the show, but she’d sacrificed a lot to stay with him, and was still ‘fighting’ for him.

‘Look, for me, I don’t want this just to feel like it’s all about sex right now, but this is really now a big thing for us,’ Peter affirmed. ‘I don’t know how else to do this, but I’ll just be very honest, and I won’t give any details. But I have been intimate. And I can’t lie to you about that.’

He told Madison he could see them ending up together, but could see it with the others, too.

Madison walked off, admitting in a confessional how ‘hurt’ and ‘disappointed’ she was.

‘He knew coming into this week, ’cause I made it very clear, that there was a chance he could lose me if he made certain decisions,’ she said. ‘And he made them anyways.’

Peter went to Madison and took her in his arms, holding her as she cried.

‘Look at me,’ Peter asked, holding her face. ‘Do you not think we could ever get past this?’

Madison said she felt ‘torn’ and didn’t want to walk away, and Peter begged her to stay.

‘I know I’m not perfect,’ he said. ‘I know that I’ve hurt you, and I’m sorry for that. Please don’t walk away from this. What do you need to do?’

‘I don’t know,’ Madison offered, walking away from Peter once again.

His mother Barbara also was shown begging him to bring one of the women in particular back home.
