ROAM.E BOUTIQUE, in business since 2015, has cultivated their niche. Appealing to busy Moms and women who go from working out to the grocery store, everything is soft, easy, and flowing with an L.A. vibe. This outfit, by AMERICAN FITNESS COUTURE, epitomizes the look and the company philosophy of carrying unique “made in L.A.”, women owned brands.
Business partners CHERRY BUSTAMANTE (pictured) and KIM TUTHILL met when they were both Buyers working together in downtown Los Angeles. Cherry, who is from Toronto, Canada, has a B.A. in Fashion Merchandising. For 20 years she has been all over the country working as a corporate buyer for chains like Urban Outfitters, Rampage, and Forever 21. She has always wanted her own store so in 2015 she and Kim took the plunge opening a boutique on wheels. ROAM.E (the E is silent) was born. The truck they affectionately named “Bessie”, took them to fairs and festivals including those in La Canada. They really resonated with that customer and traded in the truck for their first bricks and mortar store on Foothill Blvd. Kim and Cherry chose to move their boutique to the Montrose Shopping Park when the owner of KULHAUS invited them to share space in her new venture.
In addition to women’s clothing they are also known for their baby line featuring RASCAL JOY, a unique brand hand made in Covina.
Being a lifestyle store, handpicked bath & body lines and dainty, delicate jewelry round out the mix.
Even the fitting rooms flow in Roam.e with thoughtful chairs for those accompanying shoppers who are trying on clothes.
