Three shops are making changes based on retiring owners.
Willows Bend
•Willows Bend began its retirement sale at 259 S. Nicolet Road in Grand Chute. The upscale home furnishings, gift and decor shop is south of the Fox River Mall.
Owners Leigh and Chuck Rinehimer will sell off their inventory, take last special orders and serve interior design customers through March.
“After 15 wonderful years, we will close Willows Bend in April,” said Leigh. “Soon after, we will relocate to greater Cleveland, Ohio, to spend more time with our families.”
The Wild Apple
•The Wild Apple gallery/gift shop closed at the end of the year at 210 Main St. in downtown Menasha when owner Mary Jo Weidert retired.

But an eleventh-hour buyer emerged, and the shop is now turning its lights back on next month.
New owner Sara Hoff helped out in the store over the past few years, and plans to reopen the business sometime in February.
“I feel the Wild Apple’s closing would be a huge loss for Menasha’s downtown,” she said. “Purchasing The Wild Apple just feels right.”
Fresh Expressions
•Fresh Expressions, a gift shop at 1011 W College Ave., Appleton, will sell off its last merchandise in a two-week sales blitz, Jan 15-31.
As previously reported, owners Beth and Carl Rippl are retiring.
